The aim of the project was to improve the accessibility of cultural festivals in Tampere Region, as well as the equality of festival audiences and the cultural workers’ competence in matters concerning accessibility, to make participation and experiences equally accessible to the widest possible range of audiences. For each festival involved in the project, an individually tailored and feasible plan was developed to improve the accessibility of the event. Special attention was paid to event communication, pricing, customer service / operability of ticket sale, event venues and facilities, programme offering, the organisation’s strategic operations as well as diversity issues.
