Tampere Biennale presents the most interesting performers, current composers and the latest works of modern Finnish art music in Tampere every two years. The festival programme, aimed at open-minded public, features contemporary music performances that surprise, inspire and are not afraid of crossing the boundaries of different genres. Commissioned works and premieres of new works are also an essential part of Tampere Biennale, which was chosen the Festival of the Year 2018 by Finland Festivals.
