Annikki Poetry Festival

June 2026 Tampere

Annikki Poetry Festival, held every two years, started in 2003 when residents of the Annikki wooden quarter in Tampere set up a poetry event in their yard. Since then, the Annikki Poetry Festival has developed into one of the most important poetry events and the most original cultural festivals in Finland. It has also spawned Annikki OFF, a series of events taking place around the city. In addition to the events, the Annikki Poetry Festival has also given rise to a mural painting called Runopuu, located in the Tammela district in Tampere.
